Masjid

A masjid is a place of worship for followers of Islam. The word entered the English language most likely through French (mosquée), from Portuguese (mesquita), from Spanish (mezquita), and from Berber (tamezgida), ultimately originating in Arabic: masjid مسجد‎ — Arabic pronunciation: [ˈmæsdʒɪd].[1] The Arabic word masjid literally means a place of prostration. The word "masjid" in English refers to all types of buildings dedicated for Islamic worship, although there is a distinction in Arabic between the smaller masjid dedicated for the daily five prayers and the larger masjid jāmi (مسجد جامع) where the daily five prayers and the Friday congregation sermons are held with a high volume of attendance.

Madrasah

Madrasah (Arabic: مدرسة‎, madrasah pl. مدارس, madāris) is the Arabic word (of Semitic origin; viz Hebrew midrash) for any type of educational institution, whether secular or religious (of any religion). It is variously transliterated as madrasah, madarasaa, medresa, madrassa, madraza, madarsa, medrese etc.

Road is very important in a place. From first and till the end people are looking to road. Actually kolkkalam is a village; even our road is very perfect. We have so many roots teched our kolkkalam, the all main road across kolkkalam is very perfect, and one more thing is that all of our pocket roads also very perfect.

Actually thod is starting or first stage of river. Thirds is using farmers to collect water to their agriculture. So always the way of thod should be across the agriculture place. This is very nature and this water is too good. People are using for bath and wash their cloths. Kolkkalam is a agriculture place so kolkkalam also have thod . we are using it for agriculture, wash, bath, swim etc… the old condition of thod was very bad, but it was nature, even now it is changed thod is very beautiful, so the water is very clean. Most of our thod both side is belted with stone. So now it is very clean.

Kulam

Basically kulams are very old theme are very old theme which is using for agriculture. Now people also using to bath and swimming. In kolkkalam very famous with kulams. We have 100 of kulams in our place. Some of our kulams is very famous because of this natural. Now we have three more very big kulams. This is very useful to our people for agriculture, bath, swim, etc... Holidays peoples are coming from other place to swim here and we are happy when they are enjoying with this.
